TxPFHA Mission, Objectives, & Differentiation
Statement   

The Texas Paso Fino Horse Association (TxPFHA) feels that it is extremely important for our new members to understand what the objectives of our new region are, and to fully understand why we are forming this new association and how we hope it is different than previous Paso associations in Texas.  In order to accomplish this, we have developed our Mission Statement below, outlined our objectives for the TxPFHA, and hope we are conveying how we are different form previous Paso organizations in Texas.  We encourage anyone to contact us with any ideas on the following, as we are always interested in making our Region meet our Paso owner's needs!

TxPFHA Mission  

The Mission of the Texas Paso Fino Horse Association
is to promote the pleasure qualities
of Paso Fino horses in Texas,
and to
put "FUN" and "FELLOWSHIP" into owning a Paso
in the
Lone Star State !!!

Our Objectives are:

• To educate and instruct our membership and the general public on the Paso Fino breed and their wonderful abilities in general, with particular emphasis on the Paso's outstanding pleasure qualities,

• To sponsor and to encourage our Paso Fino owners in Texas to sponsor and engage in pleasure activities of all types, such as Trail Rides, Parades, Clinics, Fun Shows, Pasos for Pleasure, etc.,

• To work with, partner with, and support other equestrian pleasure organizations in Texas, such as the CTR and all-gaited horse organizations, HLS&R, TETRA, etc.,

• To encourage our Texas youth to participate in equestrian pleasure activities of all types,

• To communicate fully and openly about all activities TxPFHA is involved with, and to solicit openly the ideas and suggestions of others on how our activities can be improved,

• To respect the ideas and opinions of others, by encouraging and helping them to act on their ideas and beliefs (say "Yes" when ever possible and "No" only when unavoidable),

• To promote teamwork within our organization, and encourage everyone to participate in our activities,

• To make new friends and strengthen old friendships within our membership, and promote social activities whenever possible,

• To "Just Have Fun"!!!

We hope that by living up to our objectives we will fulfill our Mission!  As you can see, if we are successful, ours will be a very different and hopefully a more enjoyable experience for our Texas Paso owners!  Please help us make this work!!
